Scarborough won last year's Enterprising Britain competition and went on to be named Europe's most enterprising place at this year's European Enterprise Awards. When will it be Bristol's chance to shine?

Local authorities and strategic partnerships (LSPs) are key to developing a positive culture for entrepreneurial activity. Councillors, council officers, business leaders, and other community stakeholders are central to the development of an enterprise culture at the local level.

How?

Promote entrepreneurship in Bristol to give the community a boost and put it on the map. Get local schools, businesses and not-for-profit organisations involved - partnerships strengthen community links and generate innovative ideas and approaches.

Get your staff to think up innovative ways to save money, improve processes, or new ideas and projects to benefit the local community. Use the week's focus days like Social Enterprise Day and Women's Enterprise Day as an opportunity to talk to the media about your staff or initiatives they're working on.
